The human mind is nature’s finest masterpiece: an unfathomably complex system of interconnected neurons that process our experience of the world. Paracusia, commonly associated with schizophrenia, occurs when faulty connections between these neurons or abnormalities in the brain cause auditory hallucinations: the perception of sound in the absence of auditory stimuli. Paracusia can be terrifying and debilitating as confidence in what is real and what is not gradually erodes. This album is an exploration of the darker side of human consciousness as the mind is consumed by its’ own voices.
